Love yall

Hey sorry, it's been a minute since I've written anything. All is well here in villas. We haven't had a change of companion. Our area is good, about our buddy angel, we had an interview with him for his baptism. all went well but the day of his baptism he didn't answer the phone or the door. but we saw him later after church. we asked him why he didn't answer or why he didn't come. he said his family did not want him to be baptized in the church and were very against his decision. but we set a new goal with him and we are working to help him with his family and understand how important it is. but all in all, we are doing good we are finding people often. Sorry, I don't have much to say but here is a funny thing this week. There was a truck with a megaphone and two llamas, and he was anouncing the llamas marrage. I love yall sorry I don't have much to say but ill have more next week.

Zone Conference this past week. Working away in the field!

aloha gringo!

We had a good week! We were able to baptize little Fabricio Fretel this week. He was super excited for his baptism. But, we didn't have baptism pants small enough for him so we improvised with bigger pants and a white shoe lace. haha. We have been working hard to get this small little family of a ward to grow and find more people. I know for a fact that God placed these people in my life for a reason and that I need to be here for them. but we also had a little field trip this morning to a little cove that Ill share some pictures with you guys. I love yah all but I dont have to much time to talk so I'll leave you guys some cool pics. Sorry, I dont have any pictures from the baptism. LOVE YALL.

MI CULPA

Training

Sorry, it has been a minute but I want to express how much the Lord cares for each one of you. the miracles that have been wrought in my life here in Peru and the blessing that we have brought for people that we have met every day. we had the chance to talk to this young man named Angel. angel is one year older than me and is excited about the gospel. he accepted our invitation to baptism right of the bat. when I asked him why he was so ready to answer us about baptism he responded that he felt something different when I described and bore my testimony. we are so excited to work with him and progress with him. we also have other baptisms that we are working on but I let you know when they come through. the ward here is called grupo familiar. It's a tiny meeting house with about 20 members. they all love to shake our hands and ask how we are doing. It's a growing ward and there are quite a bit of inactive people that we are working hard with to get them back to the church and realize how important it is to have that spiritual experience each week. Sorry, I don't have any pictures this week but next week I promise to have some. I love ya all and keep praying, God wants to hear his children.

perdon mi !!!!

Sorry, everyone! We didn't have much time last week on the Internet. All is well here in Villas. My Spanish is coming along much better and I'm able to talk to everyone I meet now! we started teaching a guy named Julian, and let me tell ya he is interested in gringos! each day we go talk with him and after we teach a lesson he asks me hundreds of questions about me and about America. but it is the most fun thing to watch him laugh and stare straight into my soul when I talk about water polo! hahaha. he is one of the people I am learning to love and learning why I am here in Peru. Here are some pictures by his house, he lives all the way up on the side of the mountain overlooking the sea.

BAUTISMO!!!

We were able to baptize Abigail and Ruth this last Saturday! Its a wonderful thing being able to share this gospel with people that are complete strangers but soon become family. Me being a new missionary I got some weird spirit with me so we get milagros very often. this last Sunday we were walking from where we get our clothes cleaned and me and my companion saw a family so we went and talked with them, but in this lesson I was able to teach everything. through the spirit, I was able to teach in Spanish and they actually understood what I said! hahaha but all and all I know that my savior lives and he always blesses me even when I don't notice those blessing in the moment. I love you all here are pics of the baptism!

feliz navidad!!

All is well in Peru! all the little kids are messing around in the streets with fireworks, Christmas music everywhere. It's a bit weird having Christmas in a desert with no snow, so instead of snowballs me and my companion throw dirt balls! we I had my first lesson by myself this week! it wasn't very great but my buddy Jose was very kind and interested in what I had to say. probably because I'm the whitest person he has ever seen but also he shared that we were an answer to his prayers. he had been searching to find what church was true and let me tell ya there are lots of them here in Peru. as we taught him you could tell that the spirit was testifying to his heart. I'm glad to be here in Peru, even though I don't know jack squat in Spanish people still want to hear what I have to say. I love you all and remember how important this gospel is when you read the Book of Mormon intently and pray with a sincere heart I know for a fact that the spirit will confirm to you that it is true. I've seen this in the people I teach but also in myself. if you have not read the Book of Mormon now is the time. I love you guys!!! Sorry, this week I don't have `pictures but next week I will!!

Another Good Week!

Last Saturday I was able to go out into the Lima east mission and be able to street contact! it was a good experience and being able to talk to people that are fluent speakers of Spanish is helpful! in my room I have only Latino roommates, they are the funniest people on the planet! I'm blessed to be able to talk every day in Spanish with them and be able to share stories and stuff that we like in a different language. when we went street contacting we saw a lot from crazy amounts of dogs running around seeing what people live in. I'm grateful to be able to live in the USA and have a home with loving parents. Most people don't have either here.count your many blessings and I wish yall a Bueno Navidad. nos vemos!

Two weeks left!

I am so excited to be able to start the work that I have prepared myself for the past couple of weeks. the amount of power and spirit that comes with it is undeniable. the CCM is a super fun place to be and I love the district that I'm in. theirs only a few Americans here but the rest are Spanish speakers so I've learned fast. its been a blessing and I've never had so much fun in my life and made such good friends in so little time. I love you all and I'll send more next week!!!

¡Hasta luego!

What a wonderful opportunity to be with my Familia this evening. For Family Home Evening we met with President Hutchinson and Bishop Varney and I was set apart as a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to serve in the Lima West Mission for a period of 24 months. Lima Peru, here I come!
